Buckingham Palace announces King Charles' cancer diagnosis

his The King, aged 75, has recently started treatments for cancer. Although the type of cancer hasn't been disclosed, it was discovered during his treatment for an enlarged prostate. He's feeling positive about the treatment and aims to resume his public duties soon. However, he'll be taking a break from public appearances for now. His son, Prince Harry, who lives in the US, has been in touch with his father and plans to visit him in the UK soon. The King has returned to London from Norfolk and has begun outpatient treatment. Despite pausing public events, he'll continue with his role as head of state, handling paperwork and private meetings. His weekly meetings with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will continue, likely in person, unless advised otherwise by his doctors. There are provisions in place for situations where the head of state is unable to fulfill official duties, where "counsellors of state" can be appointed to stand in.
